Local Tree Surgeons in Dagenham, Ready to Quote

Dagenham and Barking have more green space than most people expect. Parsloes Park, Valence Park, Central Park, Eastbrookend Country Park and Barking Park sit among the long rows of the Becontree estate, and the back gardens are full of sycamores, ash, fruit trees and leylandii planted over the last hundred years.

We take enquiries from across Barking and Dagenham and next door in Ilford, Goodmayes, Seven Kings and Elm Park, and pass them to qualified, insured tree surgery teams who work locally. Whether you need a hedge cut, a tree taken out of a terrace garden or a storm-damaged branch made safe, you get a clear written quote and a tidy job.

The area is covered by Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering councils, each with its own conservation areas and tree preservation orders, so we always check the rules before work starts.

Tree Surgery Questions, Answered

Do I need permission to cut down a tree in Dagenham?

Not always, but you must check first. A tree with a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) needs written consent from your local council before you cut, prune or remove it, and most trees in a conservation area need six weeks' written notice. Dead trees and trees that are an immediate danger have their own exemptions, but you should still tell the council. Breaking these rules can lead to an unlimited fine. We check this for you before any work starts.

How much does tree surgery cost?

It depends on the size and species of the tree, how easy it is to reach, how much needs doing and what you want done with the waste. We give a clear written quote after seeing the tree or from photos for simple jobs, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.

Are your tree surgeons qualified and insured?

Yes. The teams we work with hold NPTC certificates (the recognised national qualification for chainsaw and tree work at height) and carry public liability insurance. Ask for details when you receive your quote.

Do you clear everything away afterwards?

Yes. Branches are chipped, timber is cut up and either left for you or removed, and the area is swept. We can also grind out stumps on the same visit.

Can I have my hedge or trees cut in nesting season?

Birds nest from roughly March to August, and it is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to disturb an active nest. We check for nests before we cut and will tell you if work needs to wait. Dangerous trees are treated differently, because safety comes first.
